As a responsible organisation and a registered charity, Durham Bird Club needs to conduct its activities in accordance with the law, especially - but not exclusively - the Charities Act of 2011.

It needs to maintain the highest standards of behaviour and to act with integrity at all times. This applies to the actions of the Club in relation to its members and to those outside, but also to interactions between Club members. Most people will be aware of an increasing body of social regulation and, reflecting this and a need for transparency, we have a number of policies and guidelines, links to which are provided below.
