The Club is deeply saddened by the passing of Colin Wilson, who died on 18th January. He was a long-time stalwart of Durham Bird Club and of the Durham birding scene more widely and will be much missed.

A moving tribute was posted by Steve Evans on the Durham Bird Club Facebook page - https://bit.ly/2DFR5yG - on 20th January and an obituary will be published in the next issue of The Lek.

We understand that Colin’s funeral will take place on Thursday 7th February at Hetton Methodist Church, Union Street, Hetton-le-Hole DH5 9HU at 2.00 p.m., followed by cremation at Sunderland Crematorium.

Note that there is more than one Methodist Church in Hetton.
