DBC Annual General Meeting, 3 September 2026 and presentation by Brian Clasper

Planning is now underway for the 2026 Club Annual General Meeting, which will take place on Thursday 3rd September at 7.00 p.m. at our new venue of All Saints Church, Carr House Drive, Newton Hall, Durham DH1 5LT.

The documentation for the business part of the meeting will be added here over the coming days and will be complete no later than 18 August, with most papers available well before that.

The meeting will include annual elections. It is vital for the future of the Club and the development of its activities that we should strengthen the Board of Trustees. As things stand there will be seven vacancies on the Board, with only two of those required to “retire by rotation” likely to be standing for re-election to any of these. The existing Board would like to develop its offering to members and to the public, but needs to fill more vacancies with willing helpers in order to achieve this. Elections are not to particular roles - these will be arranged by mutual consent following the AGM. Following the business of the meeting members are warmly invited to stay for a presentation by our Chairman, Brian Clasper.

All members are strongly encouraged to attend.
